I once got to a gig and didn't have my snare stand! I had somehow left it out of
my hardware case. I propped the front edge of the drum on a short stool, and
held it between my knees. What a nightmare!

a popular area it was easy but frantic to find one to use...My snare did show up
in time for the gig but,that was not a good feeling to have..I had gone ahead of
the band with my wife and we got a room at the hotel we were playing so I wasn't
there to oversee the load....Lesson learned there....
