I'm getting tired of bad sound guys, and am thinking of triggering an acoustic
kit. Can someone recommend what kind of triggers and brain I should use? I see I
can get 5 Ddrum triggers for $100 at american music supply.
Thanks in advance!

I never see any bands using complete electronic digital drumsets. I'm pretty sure the inexpensive sets sound bad, but what about the ones that cost a thousand...

I've played on electronic sets- store displays & rehearsal spaces, but I never bought one. The E-drums made a big splash in the 80's. I think it was a 'fad' in...

No, I haven't; but the idea is intriguing. It would be a great recording tool- direct in with no mics, and all the cool e-sounds. One of these days I'd like to...

Another option that I failed to mention earlier is to get a new kit. "Boom Theory" actually makes an acoustic-electric drumkit that is basically an acoutic kit...
