Exactly what I was going to recommend.
I once saw an old Pacific Chameleon kit, with the mesh heads turned up, that had
all of the drums triggered with the big red DDrum triggers.
They were hooked into a Roland TD-6 brain and it all got funnled into a rather
nice Roland keyboard amp.
Worked great and was a much cheaper set-up than the actual Roland e-kit.
Sorry, don't remember the price.
Important thing to remember here is to use a KEYBOARD amp (or maybe they make
special ones for e-kits these days?).
A bass or guitar amp won't speak in all of the ranges you'll need for a good
drum sound, and in the case of the guitar amp, thumping those low bass notes
could damage it.
A Keyboard amp is designed to speak over a much wider frequency range and will
not only yield a "better" drum sound, but will also be a more reliable unit for
which to use.
