Just played in Maggie Valley N.C. last weekend and when I was setting up I
notice I didn't have my snare...No, it wasn't stolen like my cymbals were
(thankfully), it just was left behing at where we practise...Luckily playing in
a popular area it was easy but frantic to find one to use...My snare did show up
in time for the gig but, that was not a good feeling to have..I had gone ahead of
the band with my wife and we got a room at the hotel we were playing so I wasn't
there to oversee the load....Lesson learned there....

Mitch

I can't begin to tell you how many times I've forgotten my high hat clutch.
Talk about frayed nerves.

No amount of rubber bands can ever fix that, even temporarily.

I make sure I talk myself thru my mental checklist as I am loading and
before I pull out of the driveway!

:) I have left my high hat clutch at home before. I've also left the bass pedal
behind. I think the worst one was when I left my stick bag at home. Thankfully,
my Dad came to church later than I had to for early morning Worship Team
practice. lol. Funny subject guys. Thanks for reminding me of those traumatic
times. haha.

I once got to a gig and didn't have my snare stand! I had somehow left it out of
my hardware case. I propped the front edge of the drum on a short stool, and
held it between my knees. What a nightmare!

This is a big reason I always do everything in the same way as
I pack and stick them in the same place in the van. It's
kind of easier to see when something is missing.
Maybe I'm a little obsessive but hey, it works for me....lol
