Melbourne, Australia-based progressive power metallers EYEFEAR have been forced
to cancel their appearance at this year's ProgPower Scandinavia festival, set to
take place September 25-26, 2009 at Vega in Copenhagen, Denmark. The festival
organizers say, "The band was set to play as the third band on Saturday, 26th of
September at the festival. However, due to financial crisis, increase of
travelling prices, lack of an otherwise-already-promised government funding and
several other reasons, the band has to cancel for 2009. We, the ProgPower
Scandinavia team have provided the band with a standing invitation to perform at
next year's event, so we cross our fingers and hope that times will get better."

Stepping in to fill EYEFEAR's slot at the event will be the Danish power-thrash
metal band MANTICORA.
