We Eastfield types seem to be playing in and around the wilds of Derbyshire
about a million times over the next couple of weeks. "So what?" I hear you say.
Well fair point, you can see all those gigs on our website and choose whether to
go to them or not without being hassled or spammed by the minnions of Eastfield
plc. But more pressing is the fact that we're playing the Queens Head in Belper
on Saturday 8th March and because it's a surprise party how are you going to
find out about that priceless nugget of information, eh? Answers on a postcard
to the usual address. The party is a surprise for Chris Butler's mate Gaz, a
decent chap. He knows nothing about it and thinks that no-one cares about his
birthday. He's going to walk into a punk rock gig in the upstairs room with us
and the Re-entrants (marvellous ukelele powered tacky covers). Everyone is
welcome and the more the merrier. What better excuse...we all like a party...the
Queens Head is a pleasant boozer, it has real ale (if that's your thing) but
more importantly it looks after it's lager too, mmm Carlsberg export - every
vegans first choice. So hope to see you there, it wont cost a bean to get
in...details are below...there's also an acoustic gig in the sprawling
metropolis of Derby itself during the day to amuse ourselves and an excuse to
get Gaz out of Belper so the Queens Head can be bedecked party style. If that's
not enough, other punk rock stuff is also happening the following weekend...i'm
tempted to buy a season ticket. marvellous. hope to see you at some point.
