This group is dedicated to the art of making multiple edits.
Back in the 80's music pioneers as Latin Rascals, Chep Nunez, Carlos "After Dark" Berrios, Tony "Dr.Edit" Garcia and Omar Santana created the most spectacular sound effects by only using a reel-to-reel taperecorder and a splicing set. Digital sampler machines displaced editing to the background, but for purists editing was very much alive. And it still is!!! Nowadays most edits are made on computers using the same principle: cut and paste.
Please note: This group is for EDIT HEADZ only! If you dig machine gun style edits,... make, enjoy and/or can't get enough of them,.... and you want to share your interest in the art of chopping up the beat (Old School and Nu School), this group is for you!
Please notice that if you want to become a member of the EDIT HEADZ mailinglist we only accept a SMTP or POP3 mailaddress at this time! WebBased Mailaddresses (Yahoo/Hotmail) will be denied!
