true. but for some reason malls are very hard to get your ideas going. the place
is packed and noisey. what pair of cans are you using for monitoring? otherwise,
you would just be distracted.

sometimes it is easy to get ideas from that rhodes '73 keyboard than a pc. the
immediacy of hardware synths and live instruments can give you instant
playability needed to get your ideas going.

as for imitating other artist, there's nothing wrong with it. in the end, most
of the time, you'll always sound like YOU.

like i said before, making songs should be fun. and if you get stuck you can
always render your parts to loops and then use that later if inspiration strikes

Well, from what I read, the softsynths aren't your problem.... writers block most likely. What you can do if you're running out of ideas is to copy. Practice...
