Hi everyone,
It's been a while since there has been any activity. Anyway, you may have noticed that EML has not done any jamming unlike other bands or groups that do music. This is because our group is composed of people of many different skill levels. However, there is still hope!

Uzyn and I are proposing a laptop jamming session on 1st July, Saturday 10:00 a.m. in the EML studio. No playing experience required but a good ear and some compositional skills will be helpful. This session will test how easy it is to actually do an improvisational compositition by using a software sequencer and whether there can be another type of performance that EML can do other than our normal concert style gigs.

What you should bring is your own laptop. Sequencing software will be provided if needed. Midi interface will not be required as we will be using a rather crude way of syncing our software sequencers in time akin to the DJ style with headphones.

There are also 2 computers in the lab. These can be used by people who don't have laptops. People with playing experience on hardware synths like the keyboards in the lab can also join in. Any nice fitting played tunes on hard synths will be sampled and put into the composition as we go along.

Everyone interested is encouraged to attend.
