The UNESCO Digital Art Award 2007 is organized in association with the Sharjah Biennial 8 (4 April - 4 June 2007, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates) on the theme of "STILL LIFE - Art, Ecology and the Politics of Change".

Theme:

Young artists are invited to reflect on how urban spaces and city environments could be transformed into creative outlets cultivating artistic innovation and new form of expression. Potential applicants to the award are asked to conceive and design their creative projects that are integral to the theme of sustainable urban development.

Prize money:

The total award money is US $10.000, which could be divided and delivered to more than one laureate.

General Guidelines:

- Submitted projects should relate to the theme and topics of the award

- The applicants must submit one project through the above-mentioned online YDC application - http://unesco.sjsu.edu/

- The user name and password of the online application would be distributed to the candidates once they have sent their CVs and completed entry forms to the UNESCO DigiArts Team digiarts@unesco.org

- Collaborative participation from more than one artist is highly welcomed

- Young, talented people from under-represented countries are especially encouraged to participate.

Deadlines and submission Materials :

Preparatory materials by 31 December 2006:

- CV and biographies of participating artist(s)

- Completed Registration form

Final materials by 16 February 2007:

- Creative projects submitted online http://unesco.sjsu.edu

- Written documentation on the process of building the creative projects with supporting audio-visual materials

Le Prix UNESCO des arts numériques 2007 est organisé en collaboration avec la 8ème Biennale de Sharjah autour du thème « NATURE MORTE – Art, Ecologie et Politique du changement ».

Thématique:

Dans cette perspective, les jeunes artistes du monde entier sont invités à réfléchir aux possibilités de transformation des espaces urbains et des environnements citadins en lieux de créativité cultivant l’innovation artistique et les nouvelles formes d’expression. Les candidats potentiels au prix sont spécifiquement priés de concevoir un projet créatif entièrement consacré au thème du développement urbain durable.

Montant du prix

Le prix est doté d’une somme totale de US $10.000, qui pourra être divisé et attribué à plusieurs lauréats. Il est financé par le Fonds Higashiyama, géré par la Fédération nationale des associations UNESCO du Japon (NFUAJ), et sera remis par le Directeur général de l’UNESCO.

Recommandations générales

- Les projets présentés doivent correspondre au thème et au sujet du prix

- Les candidats doivent présenter un projet par le biais de l’application en ligne JAN mentionnée - http://unesco.sjsu.edu/

- Le nom d’utilisateur et le mot de passe de l’application en ligne seront attribués aux candidats après envoi de leur CV et de leur formulaire de candidature dûment rempli à l’équipe DigiArts de l’UNESCO digiarts@unesco.org

- Les projets collaboratifs impliquant plus d’un artiste sont les bienvenus

- jeunes artistes talentueux ressortissants de pays sous représentés sont vivement encouragés à participer.

Contributions préliminaires avant le 31 décembre 2006

- CV et présentations personnelles des artistes participants

- Formulaire de candidature dûment rempli

Contributions finales avant le 16 février 2007 :

- Un projet créatif présenté en ligne à l’adresse suivante http://unesco.sjsu.edu

- Une présentation écrite (format word ou pdf) sur le processus de réalisation des projets créatifs accompagnée de matériels audiovisuels à titre illustratif
