Couple of things to let you know about:

Next Thursday, Sept 15, good friend and colleague Fredrick Sanders
will be performing at Kenny Dorham's Backyard (1106 E 11th St 477-
9438 for more info). Fred is an amazing pianist from the New Orleans
area recently put in limbo by the storm. His family has temporarily
relocated to Dallas but since his livelihood is gone, this concert
will serve as a fundraiser to help him through the short-term. Show
starts at 8pm and cover is $10. If you can't make it, email me and

Next Friday, Sept 16, I'll be playing with the quintet at the
Elephant Room from 9:30pm - 1:30am. A night of original jazz
dedicated to the memory of the people and spirit of New Orleans. Come
down and join us.
