This is the revived mailing list for news about, information on, and general riffing over The Embarrassment, the great indie rock group of the 1980s...and beyond...your hosts are Embos sound man and "fifth embo" Jim Rosencutter and Matt Wall, webmaster of the embarrassment.org site.

Note that only members may post material to the list or to the Yahoo groups site. That said, all you have to do is join: we won't be moderating content except insofar as good sense requires us too (for instance, somebody starts posting ads for low interest home mortgages, stupid flame wars, etc.)

Content contributions are more than welcome -- just post up using the tools here on the left side of the screen.

Yahoo makes it a lot easier for individuals to contribute things directly without moderation. Our intent is to put the "newsy" stuff and so forth on this site, contributed by and maintained by fans, and to use the embarrassment.org website for "permanent" information about the band, as an archival home. So -- everybody who can contribute, please add things here.

Because this site limits the amount of data stored to 30 MB, we move things of more permanent interest to the web site on an on-going basis. If you've posted something here and it seems to disappear, likely it's been moved over to the website!
