The Dixie Chicks will headline the State Fair Of Texas on October 19,
sharing the bill with fellow Texans such as Charlie Robison, Pat
Green, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Cross Canadian Ragweed. The date will
prove a bit of a challenge to Chicks member Emily Robison, who is
expecting her first child November 14. With each passing day,
Robison's expanding stomach presents more of an obstacle in playing
her varied instruments, she tells LAUNCH. "I have to play banjo on my
side--kind of sidesaddle now. I'm more worried about dobro,
actually," she says.
