Detroit underground hipsters need no introduction to Saile aka

show-up to see him perform (the place was jammed).
GhettoBug Crew is a song Saile wrote in response to the ghetto
minded people who live near his trailer home address (where he likes
to stay to get away from everyone while he writes). The versions
some have heard on the radio happened by accident and they're just
DJs putting the vocal track to various loops. Those versions are
reminiscent of 50 Cent on the verses and remind one of Tupac on the
hooks. They all sound spooky and menacing, no matter how happy the
music they put to it. All those versions are good. But the best
version I've heard so far was the way he did it live, plucking the
guitar lines on an acoustic. Nothing tops that, when a rhymer can do
something like that on the guitar and still drop the words directly
in the pocket. Saile makes it all look so effortless, it actually
does hypnotize you when you're watching him.
The words are prolific:

-> Had to regress back to a ghetto thug, get with a ghetto bug, put
his bitch ass underneath the grassy rug. Dissin' on me. Bitin' on
me. Vandalizin' my shit, like he can't wait to get hit. My other
neighbors, they watch it go down: bitches up in my shit whenever I'm
not around. Some like ghetto bugs, too. Wanna' do what he do. Guilty
by association, they're the ghetto bug crew.

* They don't even know me. They don't even know me! But they act
like they do, 'cuz they're the ghettobug crew!
They don't even know me. They don't even know me! But they act like
they do, 'cuz they're the ghettobug crew!

Over confident they got me all figured-out: Casin' my joint, all
creepin' about. Not knowin' I'm casin' them casin' me; from the next
block, gunnin', hand on my glock. I restrain myself from puttin'
bullets in his head, stain my lawn with his blood, make it all green
and red. Watch him as his body sets his spirit free. Make him the
example not to fuck with me.

*They don't even know me. They don't even know me! But they act like
they do, 'cuz they're the ghettobug crew! They don't even know me.

This song is my new fave! Well, right up under "Cosi Vero" (that
hybrid Spanish Italian joint he wrote). It's my new fave English
language song, I'll put it like that!!
