I tried to get rack ears for another Emu unit and they're about $40 a pair at the music shop!!! For about $25 you can get a shelf that screws into the rack...

I'm not sure what you mean by "...shove any type of keyboard in..." The keyboard does not physically replace the pads on the XL7 or get installed in the unit,...
