Hi folks,

My Japan tour has been successfully completed and it was a great success.  I had a fantastic time and many memorable experiences.  In all I slept in 22 places, performed at 22 events with 21 musicians playing at least 12 different instruments in 10 prefectures from Niigata to Kumamoto. Wow! Japan is great. And I really really love tabla!!!
I've written a wrap-up thanking lots of people who helped out at

I'm in Brisbane now, but will be visiting Sydney and Melbourne very soon.  Sydney July 25 to August 1, Melbourne August 1 to 11.  I'll be visiting and practising with various Indian classical musicians there, with a view to expanding my network further around Australia.  If you live in Sydney or Melbourne and I haven't remembered to contact you personally, my apologies, please get in touch and let's meet up.

Some more videos of a couple of my shows in Japan can be seen on the new video page on my website.

If you'd like to get instant news of my scrawls, you could subscribe to my blog.  (One guide to subscribing to blogs here.)
And there are loads more posts on my Best of the Web blog - check it out if you're looking for a way to pass the time online.
