RE: [EZIO (UK)] Re: New songs

Just for reference... I know we've been here before though.

"59 Yards" is a Boo Hewerdine song, but ;-) I have to say I think his
version is rather more subdued. A little more... I don't know,
"pedestrian", maybe. Much prefer the Ezio arrangement...

The Middleton show was indeed great fun; though I was having a job with the
school hall surroundings. Brought back memories of things called "wall
bars" and "apparatus". These days, of course, such terms have nothing to do
with school gymnasia. There are quite a few other new songs that didn't get
played... a stunning one about heartbeats ticking in the darkness, one
about meeting the devil (who wasn't even red and looks like Jimmy Cagney),
and another one with a couple of lines something like "and you don't have to
be braver than you are, it's OK to be scared sometimes". And "The Mermaid
Song", which did get played.

Either that or this new medication's having some very strange side-effects.
;-)

Personally I can only hope that all of these make it to whatever new album
is in the pipeline... anyone else have an opinion?

Best regards

John

Hi folks

Somebody mailed asking about new stuff and the possibility of a new Ezio
album. I'm sorry, but I deleted the mail and can't remember the name.

The Middleton show was excellent with about 6 new songs as I vaguely recall.
I'm at Newcastle later this month so I'll write stuff down and post it to
the list.

I enjoyed all of the new stuff...one called Shadow Boxer (or shadow
boxers)...nice, haunting. A sort of blues boogies number something about 69
yards and a bid Cadillac and another very latin, rhythmic number...again,
excellent with great guitar from Booga.

Like I say, I'll take notes next time.

Material is being collected for a new album but no date yet. I guess that
they're still road testing new material. Some stuff recorded I think but
more to go. Ezio going to Germany to see some producer or recording studio
or something at the end of the month.

Mail when I have more. Maybe Michael can remember more than I do??

Best regards

Trevor

Sorry this is not much but it's all I can remember!!
