I am glad that there is alot of discussion floating
around now about if The Shroud should become bigger or
not. I think everyone thus far has made some real
valid points. Uhm on the surface the shroud dont sound
like evanescence. I was more comparing them to the
earlier evanescence that many people have not heard.
Early evanescence is not metal at all but very
ethereal. Piano and soft guitar driven. Very
"Cure-like" and quite nice actually. I think it would
be cool if The Shroud went back to more of a "Dark
Moon Night" style also, but just an updated version.
They have so much potential and talent that I think
more people should hear. It is a shame that they dont
tour outside of cali, i would love to see them do a
huge tour across the US. Becoming a well known band
and selling out are 2 different things. I also think
that they really do stand out compared to most of the
other goth bands doing similar things. The Shroud are
special and I only wish that all other music fans can
hear them & get that same feeling I get when listening
to them.
