Hi,
Remember me? Sorry it's been so long, and I only popped out for a
pint of milk etc… I know, I know, I've been a bad celebrity (©
Frazier 1998), thanks for being so patient.
Well, I'd like to tell you how tortured and angst ridden I am,
wallowing in self pity, submerged in a dark and fetid swamp of doubt
and worthlessness. I'd like to, but I can't. For the truth is, dear
friends, I'm having a great time with my kids, my tractor mower (big
shiny red one) and my golf clubs.
Were the former true, at least I could squeeze out the odd Leonard
Cohenesque ballad for your edification but no, the most I can come up
with at the moment are jolly and vacuous little ditties unworthy of
the attention of even the most discerning Tweenies fan. (Unless you
want to hear a song about a big red tractor mower).
However, I'm not panicking. Life being what it is, no doubt Mr Pain
and Mr Trauma are waiting in ambush round the corner, ready to rescue
me from my foolish contentment. Indeed, the very thought of it stirs
my loins (ooer, matron)!
There has been the odd break from domestic bliss. I was recently in
Stockholm, working with Douglas Carr and Nick Carter (Backstreet
Boys) on songs for Nick's solo album. I've written with Douglas
before, one of our songs being recorded by a Swedish girl called
Sita, so it was good to see him again. Nick was a pleasure to work
with and all interested parties seem happy with the results.
There are some new Drum Talk replies to check out (keep em coming).
Hopefully, it won't be as long before I drop you a line again.
All together now: "I've got a big red tractor mower……"
Love
Nik
