My suggestion would be to have the tape transferred to digital format before
it degrades, and to scan the printed material. As for sell vs keep -
definatly keep, unless you know someone who is a bigger fan than yourself
and give it to them for Xmas.
Who knows - if you get the interview in digital format Nik may even want to
add it too his site. A bit of history :)
