To a record company half a million sales is almost unnaceptable.
Mostly because they probably spend 2 million dollars on advertising.
The turnout here is pretty small but over at:
http://www.wendyjames.nu/ (currently offline) they had just under
3000 members.
3000 CD sales at retail price seems like a fairly big chunk of change
to me. More than enough to cover recording expenses.
So would pay in advance? And wait up to a year (if necessary) before
receiving their CD? Perhaps it might motivate Wendy to release all of
those tracks we know she has.
I'm sure all our squawking is wearing her down and eventually she
will release something.
Now with the internet she can sell directly to her fans and not have
to rely on record companies to distribute.
