Hi Friends,

Four Brief FiddleSticks Notes:

1. Reminder about Payson Scottish Festival
2. NEW Compilation CD Now Available
3. Pearl Award Nominations, and Katie on TV
4. Snake River Music

1. PAYSON FESTIVAL:
First a reminder of our Payson Scottish Festival performance, Saturday July
7, from 10:30 to 11:30am.
Where: Payson City Park Bandstand
Payson, Utah

Come early while it's cool and enjoy the pipe bands,
kilts, shops with all things Celtic, and gathering of the clans. Great
Celtic music and dance all day, and it's free!

2. NEW TSSA CD:
If you didn't get your copy at the Provo Freedom Festival, you can still get
the new TSSA compilation CD, "Stictly Barefoot" -- which includes a
FiddleSticks track -- as well as the music of 19 other local Utah
acoustic/folk musicians (including John McVey, Julia d'Azavedo, Ryan Shupe,
Julia Davis Allen, Dave Edwards, Julie Hill, Colors, Sunfall Festival, and
MORE!). It's a great collection and only $5 when you buy any other
FiddleSticks recording. You can get it from us at the Payson Festival, or
by mail order! (Mail order details, below.) TSSA is the Timpanogos Singer
Songwriter Alliance (Timpanogos.org).

3. TWO PEARL FINALISTS NOMINATIONS FOR FIDDLESTICKS:

FiddleSticks have been voted as finalists in two categories for the 2001
PEARL awards: Best Holiday Recorded Song (for Away in a Manger/Amazing
Grace, from "Cold Fusion") and Best Group Recording Artist (for our three
CDs). We're one of three finalists in each category, and very pleased for
this show of support of our music.

The final winners will be annouced at the Pearl Award Black-tie Gala, to be
held on July 13 in Cottonwood High School (and later broadcast on TV).
Tickets are required, but free if you call 801-355-1771. Our own
FiddleSticks fiddler, Kathryn, will be performing during the event, so come
and see if we can beat out our friends in Enoch Train for a final award.
(The Pearl Awards are announced annualy by the FCMA (Faith Centered Music
Association).)
