Hot Summer Celtic Music!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #70 of 176 |
Hi FiddleSticks friends and fans:

It’s high Summer, hotter than blazes, and the FiddleSticks calendar is
crowded. There’s no better time to take the opportunity to come see a show
and hear some of the music that’s going onto the new CD, “Cat and the
Fiddle”. We have a lot of Salt Lake shows this month, so we hope to see
lots of our northern Utah friends.

Here's what's up:

PAYSON:
Saturday, July 13: 11-12noon
Payson Scottish Festival
Main Bandstand
Payson City Park, Payson UT

Payson could be Utah’s little City that time forgot, but everyone remembers
it each July for the Payson Scottish Festival. It’s free, it’s fun, there’s
music all day, plus pipe band competitions, Scottish athletics, lots of
crafts and Clan booths. Don’t miss it!

SALT LAKE CITY:
Saturday, July 13: 1:30-4pm
Historic Deseret Village
2601 E. Sunnyside Avenue, SLC

The mythical historic village of Deseret at This Is the Place Historic Park
keeps expanding and getting better every year. We’ll be playing out front,
as part of a day-long cultural celebration. Come enjoy this walk back in
time, cool old buildings, great music, and historic reenactments.

SALT LAKE CITY:
Monday, July 15: noon
Gallivan Center “Lunch Bunch” Concert
239 South Main Street, SLC

The Gallivan Center in Salt Lake hosts free lunchtime music all summer long.
Invite your friends, co-workers and clients for lunch and come over for the
outdoor show. Bring your brownbag or enjoy the local deli and take-out fare.
For info: (801) 535-6110

informal music performances throughout the summer. Come enjoy the cool of
the evening, the music, and the local fare.

MAPLETON
Saturday July 20 - 7pm
Mapleton Summer Music Concerts
Mapleton Gazebo, City Park
30 East Maple Street, Mapleton

FiddleSticks will be playing as part of Mapleton Town’s summer music series.
The concert will be happening in the City Park and the Gazebo, which were
made (in)famous in the recent movie “Brigham City.” Bring a chair or
blanket. Admission is free!

LAVA HOT SPRINGS IDAHO

dancing, silly costumes, medieval refreshments. The festivities end Saturday
night with a concert featuring FiddleSticks’ Celtic music, with roots in
ancient Europe. Come slay a dragon, rescue a maiden, or otherwise take
part. Admission $5. For info, call (208) 776-5429 or visit
