This is Dawn Jaekel in WA state. The problem is the administrator for this yahoo group.
Apparently the person who started this group, the only person who has the power to moderate it, ban the spam, etc, has disappeared. He does not respond to emails or to members making postings about the spam. This is how its been since I joined 2? years ago. Occasionally a real message will be posted and people will respond, but otherwise,
since it's a "public" group only spammers join. I suspect that most people in this group are connected off line to fans/filkers and therefore do not need to use this as a place for conversation. The only way to stop the spam is for someone to start a new non-public yahoo group and moderate it.
Will be calling you folk soon.
