Just wanted to let you know there have been some changes in the Suwannee Old Time Music Weekend (Dec. 4-6), due to low enrollment (it's a tough economy). We've eliminated the beginning classes and the meal plan, bringing the cost down from $225. to $180. We'll still be presenting the Bucksnort Barndance Band Reunion (which I'm very excited about !).
The nightly post concert jams will still be held at the historic Telford Hotel in White Springs.
The first four camps were really wonderful, and I think this one will be just as great, although smaller.
Maybe these changes will encourage more folks to think about attending.
The top ten insurance companies' profits increased 428% in the last ten years !
It's time to repeal the 1945 McCarran-Ferguson Act. The Act exempts the insurance industry from coverage under federal anti-trust laws. It essentially created a cartel for the insurance industry to exempt them from free market competition, allowing them to grossly over charge customers and deny coverage.
Cartel - an association of manufacturers or suppliers formed to maintain high prices and restrict competition. (Compact Oxford English Dictionary)
