Hi Debbie,

Can't the music teacher help with referrals on where to buy?

You should do web searches on how to buy a flute. Used flutes are sometimes
lemons like used cars - so read up on it.

Most music stores have rent to own programs and a wide selection of used
flutes.

Pawn shops are Ok but you should have an expert inspect the flute before you
buy in case is severely flawed or needs repairs.

http://www.usedflutes.com/ has many flutes. Some high end but also good
student models.

In Finland, Yamahas are seen as a good buy because of their reliability.
Sometimes good deals (around 200) on Yamahas come up on Usedflute.com. Again,
ask the flute tecaher before buying so you don't get ripped off.

Good Luck!
Mike
