[Flute Pastels] Re: Repertoire writen between 1850 and 1900!

Got my act together and did some proper research - must be things out
there, I thought. And there is!!

Paul Taffanel (1844-1908) and his Andante Pastorale and Scherzettino
or anything by him except his later stuff if the dates really are
important!

Charles-Marie Widor Flute Suite, Op. 34 (revisiting this just now and
though I am not sure of the dates for this suite, I think it was
early.)

Reinecke - Sonata Undine (fab - would love to play this again
sometime!)

Doppler - I think his dates are okay too.

The Faure of course is a great thing to play. I moved house this year
and had to find a competent pianist to at least keep on playing. Not
an easy remit in the Highlands and wilds of Scotland! But I found an
excellent guy - retired so he has plenty time to indulge me and he's
not a bad sight reader either - revisiting all sorts of things before
we decide what to do seriously for a wee recital! He loves the
Poulenc so we include a movement everytime we play together just for
fun! (Did I say fun?????)

Ah well - the Christmas madness is over for a year so I can
concentrate on 'real' music for a while! Merry Christmas.

Cheeri
Carole
