Isn't that always the way? No 10 minutes is the same length as another 10
minutes especially if you are doing something you love!

'Folk Song Suite' by Vaughn Williams is one of my all time favs. I always
feel very uplifted when I hear the first few bars of the 1st movement. And
the middle movement is lovely too! Ooooh I am so jealous - do you think they
would accept a 21 year old with 15 years experience (okay I know I am too
old but there isn't anything like that for us wrinklies - is there?)

Well this is why we are in the business! Never mind drugs we are in search
of adoration and the buzz from doing well and having that wellness
recognised. I hope it has boosted your confidence! I know you felt a bit
down after your auditions! You are still going to the same destination -
just taking a different route. Probably the M25 wasn't a good idea anyway
since it gets so gridlocked!! (analogy hell! Please forgive me!)

Well what do you expect from a brass player? Actually he's an okay dude for
a brass player, but hell those brass player traits are a bxggxr to get rid
of!!<ggg> You should read Anthony Kemp's, The Musical Temperament! Very
insightful and there's a book by Atarah Ben-Tovim (flute player!) about
choosing the right instrument for you Child that also includes personality
types most suited to the instruments. from an 'insider's' point of view it's
curious to see how many fit the profile!!
