Almost a month and nothing from anyone? Well, I'm hungover, and it's
Friday afternoon, so here we go! Did a terrible gig yesterday
providing musical intermezzi for some dreadful poets in an old
peoples home. The old bids were well up for it however, and when the
main bore commented that they probably weren't used to hearing poetry
one chipped in 'yes, never heard of it...!' I could barely contain my
vibrato with surpressed laughter. Anyway, had Richard Sims the
unfamous composer and conductor (his own words) over for dinner, and
rather mixed my drinks, so now feeling a little delicate. Rehearsing
the new flute 'sonata' tommorrow, so hopefully it will soon be
corrected and available for sending out to interested fluties.
