Well - where did September go to? Can't remember much of it - working
too hard!!

The orchestra are celebrating their 20th anniversary and we are
playing various things from the first concert and aslo things that
have a tenuous connection. E.g. we are playing Rossini's Theiving
Magpie (played in first concert the orchestra gave) and we are
playing Britten's Soiree Musicale (tenuously linked to Rossini). We
are also playing Wagner's Sigfried Idyll and Mozart's first flute
concerto with the original first flute playing. this caused a bit of
a 'stooshie' because hardly any of the orchestra is involved. But
it's meant that I don't have to be at every rehearsal!

At the start of November I am playing in a 'scratch' orchestra. We
are playing a Bervalt symphony - does anyone know this?

Ah well - off to Asda to stock up on libationous things!
