If cost were no object, how would you have a flute made ???
Specify :
maker
body material ( silver, gold, wood, platinum, or other ? )
mechanism material
open or closed keys
C or B FOOTJOINT
case options
special keys or modifications
On another website, I described my "heavyweight flute", made all in
platinum ! But, it's really heavy ! So, now I will describe my
"lightweight wonderflute" !!!
Start with an exotic and VERY LIGHTWEIGHT carbon fibre tube ! And
the firm of Matit Flutebrothers can make an equally strong, but very
lightweight mechacanism of TITANIUM !
Let's specify open holes, but add to the flute's weight slightly by
specifying a B FOOTJOINT. It's still quite a lightweight flute !
Adding a little more weight, I will choose a gold lipplate over the
standard silver one. Worth it's weight in gold, right ?
I'll keep it simple by not specifying any special keys. But, Let's
give it a special serial number. 427 is special to me ( like my 427
Corvette ! ).
And, I'll just go with the standard case, keeping it simple.
And that's my recipe for a flute you can play all day long and never
complain about the weight ! And, sound great all the while !
And, now ! How would you order your "dream flute" ???
