Re: Viking

awful quiet in here....
hope everybody is well, times still flying by at a worrying speed
down here - i go home 3 weeks tomorrow hurrah! everything is going
xmas mad - they put the christmas tree up in the halls today, and the
centre of town looks like an entire xmas tree in itself. concerts
dates are flying in thick and fast, the uni orchestra ones are on the
7th and 8th of december, and as i said before were doing a cello
concerto as well as the dvorak. its the 1st cello concerto by V.
Stanford (not stamford as i previosly said...) and its a world
premier. we've only done the 1st movement so far....its a seemingly
attractive piece, anybody know anything else by stanford ? i hadnt
heard of him before now. We're now also doing the walton spitfire
prelude and fugue which is nice. mad i suppose, but nice.
i never did finish that counterpoint by the way, it didnt seem to
matter though. and i cant explain postmordernism r i g h t now, cos
the lecturer still has my essay, and im not prepared to think about
such an atrocious subject after ive just eaten...!
i got my hair cut today for the first time since summer 99. this
morning i could sit on it but now its about 6" below shoulderlength,
and the shortest bits dont even reach my jaw ! arg i feel like
someones cut an arm off ! it looks nice though, ill grow to love it
im sure. onyhoo, i was modelling for toni and guy so it was free, and
im getting a free colour session on monday - it will be black with
pillarbox red stripes hurrah !
anyway, thats hardly relevent. i go back on the 13th of january so i
wont be able to play with the ACO i'm afraid, im sure therel be
someone else only too willing to fill my shoes though.
r......x
