I spoke to Vinny last week and he sounded fine. A little tired maybe,
and definitely way overworked, but definitely fine, active and
building basses.
For what it's worth, I'm now at 4 years and 4 months since my deposit
went in, and I am still waiting...
No matter how pissed off I get with the wait I remain confident that
I'll get my bass one day, and I know it will be a special instrument.
I think perhaps the worst thing from my perspective is that, given a
clean slate, the bass I would order today would probably be quite a
different beast from the one they are building for me. A lot of things
change in four or so years and this kind of financial commitment is
not something I can easily repeat....
Good luck - I am sure we'll all be very pleased one day...
