Well I survived Winter NAMM and won over a ton of new fans including some famous ones as well....My demos went great and my demos on Saturday for Floyd Rose (
www.floydrose.com ) and for Minarik Guitars (
www.minarikguitars.com ) we had to rush to the Floyd demo directly after I finished my demo at Minarik.It was crazy racing through the packed convention center with my assistant Karen on the phone with my manager to insure we got to the Floyd booth on time. Once I arrived I just plugged in and went for it... I had people howling in Hall C on Saturday..To top it off the guys from Guitar Player Magazine came to check me out at the demo (That's why we had to be on time...) The crazy crowd made me play even better...(I have a picture from the Floyd demo on Saturday on my Myspace gallery...) It was great to talk with the GP people and to meet everyone after my performance. Rumor has it that I'm going to be featured in Guitar Player Magazine soon... (Stay Tuned!!) We will have a ton of pictures from the show up on my website soon..Highlights were hanging out with Floyd Rose (The man..) and talking guitars and trems...He's just the coolest guy......., Another highlight was Rick Derringer saying he liked my playing (TOO COOL!) Vernon Reid also told me he dug my thing......It's so cool to be appreciated by these guitar greats...Everyday I also played at the Pedalsnake booth (
www.pedalsnake.com ) .I've been a proud endorser for some time of these great products.Jody Page the founder of the company was so cool and is a great player. We jammed several times at the booth through out the show. His helpers Bridget and Liz were also the coolest. We all had fun hanging out..As always it was great to see my friends in the industry and to see some cool shows...My favorite being the two shows we went to on Saturday night. First we went to the Coffin Cases CC Deville and friends show in one of the Ballrooms upstairs in the Hilton.CC was halarious!! It was a cool show and the Goth fashion show was cool as well..From there we rushed downstairs to the club in the Hliton Bar to the Eppiphone Party featuring Twisted Sister.They came out and played a short powerful set of hits.The whole club was singing along with everysong... For the encore CC came up and joined the band...It was one of the best shows I've ever seen at NAMM.On Sunday we pretty much took it easy and I played at the Pedal snake booth and visted a few of my sponsors.Then at the last minute a certain record company called my manager and wanted to see me perform.The cool guys at Floyd Rose agreed to let me do a last minute demo at their booth at 2pm.Well I showed up and ripped it up one last time at the show.I managed to attaract a great crowd which was cool since no body was scheduled to play on Sunday... I couldn't have survived the show without my manager and my crew... They definitely kept me going the entire show....Next stop I will be playing an early show at the Viper Room this Saturday.I'm hitting the stage at 9:30pm sharp.
