Hi Jered and all you guys,
A few months ago I bought a used 777 over here in The Netherlands: a black
model, OS 2. It looks absolutely fab! It sounds cool, de sequencer is great etc
etc.... Quite happy with it.
However, I've had some problems with the tuning and the sequencer. Well, I
thought it had someting to do with the power-supply. I was correct. The guy who
sold me the FR777 used one that wasn't powerful enough. So a bought another one,
which was really hard, cause the specs are not really 'european' I guess. ;-)
But still some problems remain. When I play a sound over a keyboard via midi,
the tuning will only be correct for about two octaves. That goes for all osc's,
even when it's warmed up for over 30 min. So I think it might need some
calibration???
Another issue is the output volume and some audible noise. Seems the overdrive
knob is quite 'enthousiastic', I have to turn down the main volume by 75% when
throwing in some overdrive. Is this normal?
About the noise. There is a clear audible noise and a kind of 'clicking' when
playing the 777 with overdrive turned down/off and filter 0-50% open. It's realy
annoying, making the 777 almost useless for 'plain clean and simple' sounds. Any
ideas?
Well I hope someone can help me out a little. Cause I do like this box!!!
Regards,
Wilco from The Netherlands
