Re: [FR] 777 market value

Given that you don't see them for sale too often they are holding their value
quite
well. I am on the Revolution wait list and would like to pick up a 777 as well
to
replace my Moog Source and Mini D for live use. Any of you who have 25 yr. +
analogue gear will know exactly how I feel about the worries it will break down
while
during a show.

true, depending on the demand for the item. I say "sort of" because that doesn't
hold
true with a lot of gear -- e.g. try finding a used Nord Modular G2 for less than
like
80% of the new price. However, with the 777, they're no longer in production and
even when they were there was quite a waiting list to get them. In addition,
there are
probably a lot more people who would be interested in buying one than people who
would be interested in selling them at this point. I would think one in mint
condition
with the original box and manual would go for pretty much new price, so the one
you
describe below seems like a decent deal to me.

... "Crazy"? The $777 new price was pretty reasonable I think, and if this unit really is in "near mint" condition, $650 seems OK to me (the $127 difference...
