Well, I and my dog happened upon Cathy clipping flowers outside her
mother's front garden just the other day--her hometown base; she
can't afford an apartment anywhere--, and she certainly didn't allude
to any checks in the mail. Actually, she did. From someplace like
Finland just the other day she'd gotten a completely unexpected
draft, a veritable largesse, payable in American, for 13 cents.
