Like always, there is a exception to the rule. Ok, so you and your
friends love Glen. Maybe you even ordered food. Whatever. You,
however, were not at EVERY table. Why are you taking it so
personally? If you respected Glen at the show, then why are you
offended? It isn't about my seats either, I have been to well more
than a handful of Glen or Toad shows now, and sometimes I have front
row, sometimes I don't. If I do, however, I stay seated and try my
best to stay low in my seat (unless I'm on the floor like in
Asheville). The matter is this, (and I'm not the only one like this)
I drive long distances to see Glen. I live in BFE and I have only
seen him once here near home, and he isn't comming back here again
because it was another one of those places that people were only
there to drink and eat and socialize. Nashville as close as Glen gets
anymore and even then I need two days off of work to get to go. So,
EXCUSE ME if I would like fo people to be extemely polite at his
shows. Not only does he deserve that, but the chances of him comming
back again are higher. Once again, if you are respectful then ignore
this and be on your merry way. I do not care if I'm I am in the front
or the back if everyone is respectful. I have seen Glen many times
and with the exception of the show in Norfolk I have spoken with him
at every one.
About the servers, I am one. I know what their job is. I also know
that you can eat on the other side of 12 & Porter BEFORE the show. I
know for a fact that one of those tables was being occupied by locals
who were just out that night. I over heard them talking near the door
about letting someone catching up with them know that they were going
to listen to "whoever is here" and eat. THAT is what I'm talking
about. Once more, if this is not you, why are you offended?
If I do get to end up going, I'll see you there and we can discuss
further, if you like. I'll be the loyal fan in the back who drove for
hours, losing two days pay, and putting up with assholes just to hear
their favorite songwritter. Most people would agree that they work to
hard for their money to have a once-in-a-blue-moon evening like that
be ruined by a disrespectful audience.
