Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing good. I'm happy to see that there are responses and new interest in this site. Hopefully more and more people would appreciate the information that is being presented here. I want to give a big THANK YOU to the person(s) who take the time to keep this site up and running, you have made a good contribution to music.
Your sight-reading section is dead on..lol. I can and have memorized some "advanced" pieces but can't read music well. I was wondering if you guys can provide any further insight or if there are any books or materials that you recommend on the subject. Also I'm currently working on Chopin's insanely difficult Fantasie Impromptu. I have the second part down pat is just that first part; the tempo is ridiculously fast! but it's not even that, I'm having trouble dividing the
melody into the accompaniment(bass clef). How do you divide 17 into 12? lol
anyway keep up the good work guys :)

Greetings,
We are very pleased to hear of your interest in learning piano.
However this site is meant to provide knowledge on music and not
practical lessons on piano. Nothing will be the same as having a
teacher by your side. We would suggest that you get a teacher and use
this site as complimentary 'teacher'.
We are very sorry to say that we do not provide personal lessons or
music teachers. There are plenty of resources on the net to get
yourself a teacher.
Keep up your interest!
Thank you,

Greetings,
Due to some of the writers conflict, 'Jazz Lessons' would be no longer
available until we find a replacement.
Sorry for the inconvenience,

Hi, I'm cat, a newbie to this group, and I must admit, I haven't spent too much time on the site yet, so I may be talking out of turn....BUT... I think it would be helpful if you added audio examples to the lessons. One thing that helps me to learn is to mimic things that I hear, and an midi example would help with understanding the rythms along with the description of the written music... Please accept my appologies, if there are lessons with audio,,, I may not have found them yet.. LOL
Greetings members,
We would like to know how we can improve Free Music Education Center.
Do you have any suugestions on that? Or any additional lessons you
think should/shoudn't be there?
Please feel free to post them on this Yahoo! Groups message board.
Thank you,

Greetings,
We are pleased to announce that the MIDI Archive have been updated
with some of the latest MIDI files. Currently, our hosting space
limits the number of MIDI files that can be hosted. We hope to get a
bigger hosting space soon.
Do you know that you can view/print the good MIDI files as sheet
music? Please let us know if you don't know how.
Thanks,
-Free Music Education Center Team-
Hello everyone,
Nice to see that there are some new members in this group. Thanks for
the very positive comments, Leo, hope that we can see more members in
this group soon.
Regarding the vocal lessons, I do not think that we have any lessons
as we do not have the adequate knowledge on vocals. However, please
note that there are many other sites that offer vocal lessons but very
few offers them for free. In my personal opinion, vocal are best
trained by someone good, experienced and reading hardly helps.
Keep on the music,
-NPPT-

I agree with you 100%! This site is truly a gem. The information that it provides is priceless. I've only been a member for about a month and the musical knowledge that I have found on this site I can't find anywhere else on the internet. The level of detail and examples that are provided are of professional material, I would dare say that it surpassess many "music theory" books that are out on the market. It has been invaluble to me in my pursuit of learning music.
Unfortunately there aren't the many members, I fear that the webmaster may close the site. Maybe there is something that we can do; Such as spreading the word too friends or people who are interested in music. I have an idea: Why don't we post these e-mails on the site, perhaps we can get more people interested. What do you think?
hi fellas,
Why isn't there anyone in this group? The website(Free Music Education
Center)is an awesome site for anyone interested in music. Please join
this group so that we can have more discussions on the many topics.
