other instruments i know of: our list member larry ibisch has an RC Buffet for
sale. i tried it and liked it. it has been very little played and is in fine
condition.

another paris dealer is AJ Musique, operated by amaury montac. here is a note i
received from him in january; so his stock of used instruments may have changed.
when he says double c#, that means it is the newest model buffet. the RC is the
model which precided the new one. you would need to inquire the age of the
instrument/serial numbers he mentions.

you could also inquire about a new instrument of course.

Correct, only these two are manufacturers and both have limited production
runs.

If you are intending to visit Paris, you should go to the two best shops for
wind instruments. Both are official distributors of both makes. They have both
given me discounts on the "recommended" prices on crooks and the BAM case for
the RC model, which the manufacturers are reluctant to give directly. One is
l'Olifant with a catalogue on the Internet at www.lolifantparis.com. The other
is Le Ménétrier, a.k.a. Music Forum, at 50 rue Rome, i.e. near the old
conservatory in rue Madrid. At the moment I can't find their current Internet
address. Both have spoken English when I have ordered by mail or courier and
paid by international bank transfer.
