Hello group,
I was wondering if anyone has advise for buying a basson? If it is not
possible to try an instrument, what questions to ask and what prices
would be reasonable. ie. a Buffet from the 40's 50's or 60's. I know
the wood ( rosewood) does not fair as well as maple, is there anything
or anyone to watch out for? I am a professional with an orchestral job,
I play a Heckel, and have been playing for almost 30 years, so I think
I would prefer a professional instrument,
