For those of you who haven't heard Win Brendle passed away. Here's
the obit:
Winfield S. Brendle, 87, Sinking Spring, died Jan 4, 2008, of natural
causes in Reading Hospital.
He was the widower of Evelyn (Rapp) Brendle, who died Oct. 15, 1996.
Born in Bowmansville on April 22, 1920, he was a son of the late
Grover and Annie (Brubaker) Brendle.
He worked as a driller, blaster and welder at Grace Mines,
Morgantown, for 23 years, retiring in 1978. He also was a self-
employed stone mason and welder following his retirement from Grace.
He was a member of Mohnton Fish and Game Club and Full Music Circle
Society. He enjoyed music and camping.
He is survived by three sons: Rodney, husband of Leona Brendle,
Fredericksburg; Randy, husband of Josey Brendle, Benton; and Lonnie,
husband of Bette Brendle, Sinking Spring.
Other survivors include eight grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Larry, husband of Joyce Brendle; and a
daughter, Cynthia, wife of Gary Frees.
A Celebration of Life service will be Feb. 2 from noon to 6 p.m. in
his son Lonnie's home at 1420 Old Lancaster Pike, Sinking Spring, PA
19608. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family in
Bowmansville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Father Folk
Festival, 106 Franklin St., Shillington, PA 19607. Please make checks
