Radio station WFMU   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1140 of 1256 |
WFMU is a not-for-profit, fully listener-sponsored radio station, anchored in
New Jersey, but broadcasting to the world from their website www.wfmu.org. The
station is at the tail end of their once-a-year fund drive, and with times being
what they are, there is a chance that they might fall short of their goal to
cover their operating costs this year. They could use whatever financial
assistance listeners are able to provide them.

They are "Freeform", with no forced playlists, and every DJ is free to play
whatever they like. They make all of their archives available for free, and
have sponsored many great live performances as well (including Gary Lucas and
his various musical projects on many occasions).

Since they don't accept advertising or corporate sponsorships, they are solely
dependent on the listening public for their operating funds. The bulk of the
work is done by volunteers, with only 3 paid employees on staff.

This most worthy cause can use everyone's help. Even the smallest donations
help, and are most welcome.

Thank you for your time.
