FOUR is a very good number for Pet Shop Boys this week:
1. "Did you see me coming?" spends a FOURTH week at #1.
2. "Love etc." also spent FOUR weeks at #1 back in March/April, and it has been
on my chart now for over FOUR months (21 weeks).
3. The "DYSMC?" singles include a total of FOUR new PSB b-sides, and two of
them debut, giving the Boys a total of FOUR songs on this week's chart.
4. And all this occurs the week ending July FOURTH!
Of the four new PSB b-sides, I don't think I'll chart "The Former Enfant
Terrible" or the Richard X remix of "The way it used to be", but the other two
begin their chart runs this week. I don't think either of them will get to #1,
but both will probably peak somewhere within my Top 5.
Next week, look for debuts from P!nk (I'm so glad that "Funhouse" is her next
single!) and The Lemonheads (their new covers album VARSHONS is so good!), and
possibly one more... it all depends on whether or not "Love etc." can make it to
Week 22...
Happy 4th everyone!!
