Tommy ...Coming to an End/Starting Over   Message List

Nice to see the flurry of posts.

One of you mentioned something like, "Tommy is thinking about
recording again". How depressing! I didn't realize he had
drifted that far off course that he would now only be *thinking*
about it. I had always assumed he had something in the works.

I was expecting a solo album. Wasn't that the hope we all had?
The last time I saw him, he was
testing new songs and had "Motel for Misery", on "The I-10
Chronicles/2" compilation CD. It seems like yesterday ... but
come to think of it ... that was 3 or 4 years ago! It can't end this
way! Let's see what we can find out.

As for the song know as either "Starting Over" or "Like a Child" or
maybe even "Starting Over, Like a Child", I don't know if Tommy
or Geggy Tah ever did a studio recording. Word on the street
was that Tommy was hoping it would appear on a live Geggy
Tah album someday and was saving it for that. In '97 or '98, the
Westwood One Radio Network aired a recorded-live Geggy Tah
show that included the song. Their are excellent copies of the
broadcast floating around since Internet CD dealers sell the
actual discs that affiliate radio stations played. By the way, the
accompanying documentation that Westwood One sent to radio
stations with that CD list the song as "Ocean of Love". (Strange
since those words aren't in the lyrics.)

Ummm.... anyway ... more later ...
