Just wanted to re-iterate the comments from this and the other review.
Monday nights show in Bristol was a classic.
I picked up the Satellites Best of Let it Rock a few months ago and it took me
back to, what, too many years ago ,when I saw them play several times in the UK.
I was slightly apprehensive about dragging along a couple of friends but
shouldn't have been. That guys music is so rock, and he and his band so full of
energy that they'll never fade.
This show was in a social club basement, which was filled with a decent size
audience and lots of noise. Sound was spot on and the performance hot. I haven't
seen a band sweat so much for a while, and I've seen a lot. The Homemade Sin
boys give it their all, thats what counts and thats what gives them and the
crowd such a good time.
Mauro was playing so hard he almost fell off his drum stool at one point and
then proceeded to play on the extractor unit near his head and the low level
ceiling beams. Its the first time I've seen Ken play, and boy can he. The dual
guitar work with Dan was awesome. I don't know the bass player's name, I also
don't know what he was playing a lot of the time but it worked well, keeping the
rhythm rolling and holding up the guitars with some genius.
The set was almost 2 hours before the 11pm curfew drew a close. There were
plenty of songs that anybody on this list would know and love from the 3 Sats
albums plus a couple from solo albums, covers and snippets from rock classics. I
haven't got the memory to recall the set list and always like the surprise of
not knowing exactly whats happening next anyway.
Suffice to say, a great show, this was probably the smallest venue on the UK leg
on a Monday night. If anybody is not sure about whether to catch the band on
this tour. Do it. They are on top form.
PS for the haircare team out there, don't worry they had hats on for most of the
time

Just got back from the Bristol gig
Small venue - the stage a mere 12 inches off the floor.
Let's put it this way - last year's gig in Cardiff was excellent. This one was
even better.
Loads of Sats stuff
Just absolutely bloody wonderful.
If you missed it, then you should kick yourself and find an alternate venue
