Well, well, well, what a gig. Superb sound, loud and clear with guitars way up
front-real meaty.
The boys looked really happy with the sound also. This is the most complete and
enjoyable gig I think I've seen Dan, in any guise, since the Sats at the
Barrowlands and totally sober !. Usual set list, but shuffled, with "Like a
rolling stone" and "Helpless" added. Ken introduced, and sang, "fine fine fine"
as a Rockpile song-----------I thought it was the Thunderbirds, so I stand
corrected. Who cares who wrote it...........it Rocks.
Highlight of the night was at least 20mins of the set closing Feel so
Good / Balin' The Jack.........A boogie masterpiece.
Lots of photo's from this gig that I'll get posted soon.
The boys spent the afternoon at the ancient Doune castle scene of Monty Pythons
holy grail and by all accounts had a barrell of laugh's.
Thanks to Mick Brown again for all the hard work on putting on the
tour.If Mick Penn can pick his e-mails up I'll not make the Mean fidler but
probably will make Southend.
Directions please to club Riga ? what time is the kick-off ? Help
John
