Mercurine Bio:
Biography
Following her work with bands such as black tape for a blue girl,
Faith and the Muse and Cassandra Complex, Mera Roberts set out to
bring a unique musical vision into reality. She found the ideal
collaborator in Byron Brown (formerly of Superfiends, New Ambassadors
of Love and Kommunity FK). The resulting combination is a powerhouse
duo whose music is at once modern yet reflective of post punk and new
wave.
This is Mercurine. Their sound is the shimmer of guitars through a
synthesized current of melody and pulse, bound together with feminine
vocal polarities from fragile to fierce. Sensitive listeners can
hear the essence of New Order, Curve, and My Bloody Valentine
coursing through Industrial beats and strong emotions.
Mercurine released their second album, Waiting For Another Fall, in
late 2005. It is not a record about Autumn. It is extremely
emotional, with moments of quiet introspection building into heavy
walls of sound that hit the listener in the gut while at the same
time drying their tears with a melodic kiss.
Based in Los Angeles, Mercurine are well known on the West Coast for
their live performances. The duo is rounded out with a drummer and
bassist to enhance their unique brand of synth-rock and deliver it to
an audience in a constantly variable and animated style.
Watch for Mercurine in the Midwest this June as they make their debut
tour through the Heartland!

Rachael's Surrender
Biography
Originally an outlet for Reuben Chew's gothic-styled dancefloor
songs, Rachael's Surrender has evolved over the years into a dance-
rock fusion rare in pop music. Start with the techno-drama of Depeche
Mode and Erasure, add a layer of Love and Rockets-style guitars and a
healthy dose of Britpop, and you might be in the vicinity of
Rachael's Surrender's sound. You'll still be missing the unique and
beautiful twin lead vocals of Elysabeth Grant and Liz Amadea, though,
which send Rachael's Surrender into a realm uniquely its own.

This is Mera, from the band Mercurine.
Mercurine is based in Los Angeles and we're making our debut tour of
the midwest this June with Rachael's Surrender. We're well known in
the goth scene and performed last year at Convergence 11 in San
Diego. Some of our fanbase consists of people who are familiar with
my involvement in bands such as The Last Dance, Cassandra Complex,
Faith and the Muse and black tape for a blue girl. Though we have a
sizeable goth following, we do appeal to a wider audience and are
gaining increasing attention from indie rock listeners.
Rachael's Surrender hails from Chicago. They have dual female lead
singers, one of whom is Elysabeth Grant, a talented singer and viola
player who also currently fronts black tape for a blue girl.
Elysabeth's following is considerable from her involvement with both
bands.
Rachael's Surrender has an eclectic appeal to indie and underground
music fans
alike.
Shinma is dark electronic dance music. This project was formed in
1999 by ken vh. He has developed a big following all over the world.
Being on a couple of Underground Inc related compilations & having a
few songs on a couple of independent films.
Word has been spreading about shinma so much, that it has been hard
to keep on e-mail. & they can never keep merchandise in!
Ken is almost done finalizing the songs for what will undoubtedly be
the best Shinma release to date, featuring an impressive list of
collaborators. Until then, there will be a re-release of the YO NO
SOY UN MONSTRUO album, w/extra tracks. This will be available for
the first time, june 24th 2006.
Shinma live is various friends.
Ken also created ghetto electro productions in 2000. This is to
bring together people as a family, not a genre oriented thing. The
roster is 20 bands involved now, & they each help one another out in
any way they can. Ghetto Electro & shinma has been getting contacted
by magazines & local radio stations everwhere.
There will be the new pressing of the ghetto electro compilation
volume 1, & this will also be available for the first time on June
24th. All ghetto electro compilations are free! We want to get the
word out on great bands!
