Sunday, MOTORHEAD was awarded the 2004 Grammy for Best Metal Performance
for their single "Whiplash", covering METALLICA (category is for singles or
tracks only).
As a band, MOTORHEAD hadn't yet won (with two previous nods in this category),
but Lemmy had already won for songwriting (OZZY OSBOURNE's "No More Tears"
album).
The other four finalists (nominees) this year for Best Metal Performance were:
CRADLE OF FILTH ("Nymphetamine"),
HATEBREED ("Live For This"),
KILLSWITCH ENGAGE ("The End of Heartache") and
