(DC, Maryland, Virgina, USA)- It's such a vibrant thing- only dipped in a
delight of 4 colors, making up collective The Five One. Known heavily in the DMV

Pop, Rock, and Hip Hop with plans to release a remix song by various artists

has garnered the attention of the Hip Hop and Indie blogosphere ever since-
keeping the internet buzzing and constantly on their toes for more. With well
mastered remixes and remakes of various notable artists such as Bob Marley,
Lykke Li , N*E*R*D, Kenna, Gorillaz, Vampire Weekend, Kanye West, and many more,

their hands on. The Five One's year long project titled 5109: The Remix Project

About The Five One & Remix Projects: Anyone who has been hip the music scene and
paid attention to the blogosphere will know that the DMV is blowing up and that
The Five One demands you to respect their conglomerate. Representing the area-
not only with their band name declares the area as the 51st state, but also by
incorporating the nation's capitol frequently as a theme. Their song "District
of Colossus" is an ode to the budding music scene and cultural relevance of
Washington, DC in the uprising entertainment industry. They previously sampled
Vampire Weekend's "Kids Don't Stand a Chance", as well as borrowing a chorus
from themselves coming out of an original song called "DC Sleeps", which is
featured on their mixtape album The Green Complex released in 2008. You can
catch this project available on iTunes now.
